Changes in the rules for entering the EU
From November 10, the rules for entering the EU are changing: how to pass passport control
The European Union is changing the rules for crossing the border to enter Schengen countries. The innovations will apply to all non-EU citizens, including Ukrainians.
From November 10, the EES system will be operational at the borders of the EU. Now, instead of stamps in the passport, there will be a scan of the face and fingerprints.
The main innovations:
▪️registration will take place automatically through self-service terminals;
▪️during the first entry, fingerprints and a photo of the face will be taken instead of stamps;
▪️biometric data will be stored for 3 years, it is not necessary to submit them again.
